PsycTESTS – free 30 day trial
http://guides.libraries.uc.edu/content.php?pid=226302&sid=2262869
The University of Cincinnati Libraries have made arrangements for a 30-day trial of the new PsycTESTS database produced by the American Psychological Association. PsycTESTS is the first database to provide extensive, direct full-text access to unpublished tests and measures. The instruments in this database are of interest to researchers from a wide range of disciplines and includes measures of achievement, aptitude, beliefs, cognitive functioning, competency, coping, development, ethnicity & race, health, intelligence, occupational variables, personality, substance abuse, and more. Presently, the database includes more than 2,500 instruments, and approximately 75% are full text. The database is updated monthly, and is expected to total about 5,000 tests by early 2012. Without PsycTESTS, researchers must contact test authors directly or search through electronic articles to find actual tests and measures. PsycTESTS facilitates the process, putting the tests and measures on the researcher’s desktop.
PsycTESTS is available online at http://guides.libraries.uc.edu/content.php?pid=226302&sid=2262869. This link also provides additional information about PsycTESTS and includes a brief survey about the product.

ONLINE RESOURCES AVAILABLE ON THE GO
EBSCO Mobile App
EBSCOhost has introduced a mobile app specifically designed to take advantage of EBSCO’s powerful search functionality on the most popular smart phones, including iPhones® and Droids™. Available in the Android Marketplace and iTunes, users can download the app and access UC’s subscribed EBSCO databases from their mobile device. Once downloaded and installed, the app must be authenticated with a key from the EBSCOhost database full site. Users submit either a UC or personal e-mail address to request a key via any EBSCOhost database full site. Users should then receive a reply e-mail from EBSCO containing the authentication key and instructions. The unused key is valid for 24 hours. Once activated, the key is saved in the app and remains active for nine months.
