Women and Social Movements in the United States is a resource for students and scholars of U.S. history and U.S. women's history. Organized around the history of women in social movements in the U.S. between 1600 and 2000, this collection seeks to advance scholarly debates and understanding at the same time that it makes the insights of women's history accessible to teachers and students at universities, colleges, and high schools. The collection currently includes 87 document projects with almost 2,700 documents and 150,000 pages of additional full-text documents, and more than 2,060 primary authors. It also includes book, film, Web site reviews, notes from the archives, and teaching tools.

Now with expanded content, The Television News Archive holds more than 900,000 individual network evening news broadcasts. The database includes nightly news programs broadcast by the national television networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) and a daily news program from CNN. Abstracts of each story within a regular news program are fully searchable. The Archive's collection also includes news coverage of significant events broadcast outside the scope of the regular evening news programs with a focus on U.S. presidential politics including political conventions, election coverage, and Presidential speeches and press conferences. The Special Reports collection also includes coverage of major national and world events and major military conflicts involving the United States.
