Scopus from Elsevier - www.scopus.com/scopus/home.url
Scopus is a multidisciplinary navigational tool that contains index information, abstracts, and citation searching for science and social science scholarly literature. Designed and developed in consultation with researchers and librarians, Scopus offers more coverage of scientific, technical, medical, and social science literature than any other database with over 14,000 peer-reviewed titles from more than 4,000 international publishers. The database coverage provides access to many full-text links directly from the results list, as well as over 25 million abstracts going back to 1966, a full 10-year reference backfile, and daily updates. In addition, Scopus allows for sophisticated connections between authors and cited authors for tracking of specific research projects.
UC Dissertations & Theses - http://wwwlib.umi.com/cr/uc/main
A larger portion of UC dissertations can now be accessed online as a result of a recent negotiation with University Microforms (UMI). Almost 5,500 UC dissertations from 1955 to 1996 have now been digitized and are available online to UC users. In addition, 93 master's theses from 1973-1996 are also available. To access the dissertations electronically, users request the full text from UMI and are sent a link and a password to access the dissertation. For dissertations from 1997 forward, digitized versions are available at the OhioLINK ETD Web site (www.ohiolink.edu/etd/). Dissertations may also be accessed through the Library Catalog (http://uclid.uc.edu).

With coverage from 1962 to the present, the African Writers Series offers access to key works from the highly acclaimed Heinemann's African Writers Series. This resource provides seminal works of 20th-century African literature, covering such authors as Steve Biko, Ama Ata Aidoo, and Buchi Emecheta. Novels and short stories, along with drama and poetry, are fully searchable and richly indexed. Author biographies are included. As a result of the purchase of the African Writers Series, access to the authors and works included in this database has also been enabled in the Literature Online (LION) collection at http://lion.chadwyck.com/. The LION collection includes not only the works, but sometimes additional critical material.
