Government Documents

Description:The University of Cincinnati Libraries is a depository library for U.S. documents.  The libraries receive approximately 92% of the material made available for deposit.  The libraries are also a depository for Ohio documents.  Selected United Nations publications are also available.

Location:  The majority of the government documents owned are located on 4East of Langsam Library with some titles located in the general collection at Langsam Library.  Selected documents are owned at the College and Departmental Libraries.  A portion of the documents collection is located at SWORD (Southwest Ohio Regional Depository).

How:  Information about the documents owned at each library can be found by searching the libraries’ online catalog. 

Staff:   The University Libraries Reference Services Department is available to answer questions regarding government documents.  General reference service is available at the Info Commons desk and more complex questions are directed to the Reference Consultation Office.  Additional help may be obtained from the staff in the government documents office or by calling 513-556-1874, or by emailing Kathleen Kinsey (Kathleen.Kinsey@uc.edu )
