Canada's National Occupational Health and Safety Resource that includes United States information as well. Searche across multiple resources at once or search them individually. Resources include: MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), RTECS (Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances), CHEMINFO, health and safety information on pure chemicals, and OSH References that include OSHLINE, NIOSHTIC, NIOSHTIC-2, HSELINE, & CISILO.

ChemIDplus (Free)
ChemIDplus is the National Library of Medicine's dictionary of more than 360,000 chemicals that can be used to investigate chemicals that affect biological functions in humans and animals. Many records now provide boiling point, melting point, solubility, molecular weight, and other data. Chemicals can be searched by their ranges of effects, by toxicity, and by the organs/body systems they may act on (such as nervous system, skin, heart, kidneys and liver).

ClinicalTrials.gov (Free)
Offers up-to-date information for locating federally and privately supported clinical trials for a wide range of diseases and conditions.

N

National Toxicology Program (Free)
The NTP is an interagency program whose mission is to evaluate agents of public health concern by developing and applying tools of modern toxicology and molecular biology. The program maintains an objective, science-based approach in dealing with critical issues in toxicology and is committed to using the best science available to prioritize, design, conduct, and interpret its studies. To that end, the NTP is continually evolving to remain at the cutting edge of scientific research and to develop and apply new technologies.

NIOSHTIC
Highly respected retrospective database covering all aspects of occupational health and safety with a strong emphasis on toxicology.

NIOSHTIC-2 (Free)
NIOSHTIC-2 contains more than 16,000 citations identifying occupational safety and health documents/publications that were published between the years of 1971 and 1998.  Weekly updates, beginning in the year 2000, will reflect new NIOSH publications, as well as back-fill the coverage gap from 1998 to 2000.

Toxicological Profiles (Free)
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) produces "toxicological profiles" for hazardous substances found at National Priorities List (NPL) sites. These hazardous substances are ranked based on frequency of occurrence at NPL sites, toxicity, and potential for human exposure. Toxicological profiles are developed from a priority list of 275 substances. ATSDR also prepares toxicological profiles for the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE) on substances related to federal sites.
