CHAIN Online a new educational Web site that "offers expert perspectives, advice and guidance on drugs, biological products, and medical devices from AHRQ's Centers for Education and Research on Therapeutics (CERTs)." The Clinician-Consumer Health Advisory Information Network (CHAIN) links clinicians and consumers with information on therapeutics to assist in clinical practice and health care decisionmaking in areas where evidence is undergoing significant and rapid changes. Resources for clinicians include a slide library that can be adapted to educate clinical audiences and used for continuing medical education credit.

CINAHL covers over 900 of the English language journals related to nursing and the allied health disciplines. Updated monthly. 1983 to present.

Citation & Style Guides find citation analysis, citation formatters, and tips on how to cite images, sources, etc. provided by the University of Cincinnati Libraries.

Cochrane Library is a unique source of reliable and up-to-date information on the effects of interventions in health care. The Cochrane Library consists of a regularly updated collection of evidence-based medicine databases.

Dissertations and Theses (OhioLINK) is a free online database of masters' theses and doctoral dissertations from graduate students in participating Ohio colleges and universities.

Dissertations and Theses (ProQuest) includes full-text to over 800,000 dissertations from 1997 forward. The database also includes full-text to all UC dissertations published in electronic format. In addition, the database includes citations to dissertations from 1861-Present and 350-word abstracts from 1980 forward. Master's theses published from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts.

EBSCOhost MEDLINE with full text is a comprehensive source of full text for medical journals, providing full text for more than 1,370 journals indexed in MEDLINE. Of those, more than 1,340 have cover-to-cover indexing in MEDLINE. This wide-ranging file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the MEDLINE index - with no embargo. With full-text coverage dating back to 1965, MEDLINE with Full Text is the definitive research tool for medical literature.

eMedicine (Free access with registration) eMedicine is an authoritative and accessible point of care medical reference available to physicians and other health care professionals on the Internet. The evidence-based content, updated regularly by more than 8,000 attributed physician or health care provider authors and editors, provides the latest practice guidelines in 38 clinical areas. The eMedicine Clinical Knowledge Base contains articles on over 6,500 diseases and medical topics, and is richly illustrated with some 28,000 multimedia files.

Encyclopedia of Life Sciences includes over 12 million words, 4,000 articles, 7,500 illustrations, 180,000 index entries and 26,000 links. It is constantly updated online.

Entrez contains the complete protein & nucleotide sequence data from GenBank, the EMBL Data Library, the PIR International Protein Sequence Database, SWISS-PROT, Protein Data Bank, & the PRF & DDBJ files. (Free)

ERIC indexes education-related literature, beginning in 1966. The ERIC database is the world’s largest source of education information, containing abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. The database covers descriptions and evaluations of programs, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, position papers, and resource materials. In 1993, ERIC began indexing education-related books, including the output of major publishers.

Health and Wellness Resource Center is no longer available as the subscription was discontinued.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 590 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for over 627 journals. Updated on a daily basis.

IPA (International Pharmaceutical Abstracts) Online provides information from over 750 pharmaceutical, medical and health-related journals published worldwide from 1970 to the present. To get to full text articles, look for the Article Linker icon.

ISI Web of Knowledge contains citations to more than 5,300 of the leading science and technical publications from all over the world. 1980 to present.

Journal Citation Reports is a comprehensive resource that allows you to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from over 7,500 scholarly and technical journals from more than 3,300 publishers in over 60 countries. JCR can show you: most frequently cited journals in a field, highest impact journals in a field, and largest journals in a field. Another option is to take a look at SCImago Journal & Country Rank , an open access database that generates citation statistics and also calculates impact factors using data from Scopus®, a database created by Elsevier and to which UC subscribes. Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print The Mental Measurements Yearbook provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. Designed for an audience ranging from novice test consumers to experienced professionals, the MMY series contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership. MMY provides coverage from Volume 9 to the present. Tests in Print (TIP) serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. National Journal is a comprehensive resource on politics and policy for the academic community. See the Health Care section for policy news. (Free)

Natural and Alternative Treatments consists of articles on Herbs and Supplements, Conditions, Drug Interaction, Alternative Therapies and Homeopathy. These articles are entirely based on double-blind, placebo-controlled studies and other forms of meaningful scientific evidence. PsycBOOKS from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a database of more than 16,000 chapters in PDF from over 1,000 books published by APA and other distinguished publishers. The database includes most scholarly titles published by APA from copyright years 1953 - 2005. It also includes 100 out-of-print books and a total of more than 400 classic books of landmark historical impact in psychology. 1965 - present.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database with more than 510 full text titles covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

PsycINFO covers over 1300 professional and academic journals, dissertations and book chapters on psychology and related disciplines. It is updated quarterly. 1967 to present.
