Lending Policies

University of Cincinnati Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library lends to libraries in all countries for a loan period of three weeks.  These policies apply only to the Health Sciences Library collections. 

The following types of materials are not available through interlibrary loan:

Selected Audiovisual materials
Reference materials
Sound Recordings

Materials indicated as LIBRARY USE ONLY in the UC library catalog

Charges:

Books

OhioLINK, SWON, GMRL and other libraries with reciprocal agreements	No Charge
U.S. Non-Profit Libraries	$11
U.S. for Profit and Corporate Libraries	$32
International Libraries 2 IFLA vouchers acceptable as payment for loans	$32

 

Photocopies

Payment Methods

 

Payment via Electronic Funds Transfer System (EFTS) or OCLC ILL Fee Management (IFM) is preferred.  Invoices are sent once a month.  We accept IFM, checks drawn on funds from a US bank, money orders in US dollars, and IFLA vouchers as payment.

Rush Services

$10 will be charged for rush service in addition to standard applicable fees.  (For shipment by UPS, FedEx, etc., borrower must supply account number and pay charges.)

ALA/IFLA forms received via mail, fax, or email will incur a $5 per request added charge.  This charge, added to the normal fees, will not apply to libraries that register as customers and submit ILL requests directly into our online system.  To apply to become an online customer, please send an email to HSLDD@ucmail.uc.edu.
