Locate Article Full Text
Once you have a list of search results, you will notice that databases use a variety of terms to describe the availability of full text. Some databases will allow you to limit retrievals to full text before searching.
- Text: Full text is available by selecting this link.
- HTML Full Text: Full text will display in a format understood by your browser. If the original articles include images, charts, etc. they won't display in this format. Sometimes "HTML Text with graphics"is available for articles with images.
- PDF Full Text: Full text will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is free software that you can download and install on your computer. This format preserves the original layout and graphics.
- Linked Full Text: Full text is available in a different database or service from the same vendor.
- Retrieve Full Text: Full text is available by selecting this link.
- Find a Copy: Full text is not available in the current database. This link takes you to a screen with either a link to the article in another database, OR a screen that tells you whether UC or another OhioLINK library has a print copy of the journal. UC may also have an electronic copy. This is how you can find an article when you already have a citation.
